I kind of miss WordPress. I used to do “week in pictures” entries which were really just images of things that related to the week that I took off of image search. Since I am as sickly-miserable as I can ever remember being, I am going to do this again. For old time’s… sake?

I am really proud of our country today. Reading reactions from around the world, seeing people celebrating in the streets of Manhattan last night, and feeling a new sense of hope (of course, coupled with anxiety and caution) for our future… I can honestly say that this is the first day in eight years that I have felt this way. There is so much to repair, so much to begin… but this is a beginning, and a profound and hopeful one at that. I am, however, extremely distressed by the passing of Proposition 8 in California, and Florida and Arizona’s vote to ban gay marriage outright. Small steps… some forward, some back.

Now to attain the new Futurama movie that came out yesterday…

Stereolab is really good live. Amanda is really good at randomly being at a bar 50 feet away from the venue when I got out. Erin Shea is good at being born on October 4th… EVERY YEAR

Jenny Lewis had better shred it tonight. I am bummed that Sarah Silverman “opened” for her last night as a last minute special guest and I didn’t see
