The owls are not what they seem

For the past two weeks, all I have done with my free time is watch and finish Twin Peaks. I had never made it all the way through until now, and obviously it is all I think about.

Quiet Life

Now that I am no longer in a different city everyday, my blog is going to be 86% more boring than before!

Example A: What did I do today?

•AIM
•30 minute run
•sister time
•food
•Ian hangout
•Planet Earth
•sneezing

Example B: What will I do tomorrow?
•AIM
•30 minute run
•????
•Food

Cool. Is anyone else having the WORST ALLERGY EXPERIENCE EVER? Does Claritin do anything for you? Because Claritin, even combined with all of Planet Earth on DVD plus friends and A/C and sleep doesn’t help at all.

I did have a job interview via telefono with an organization called HeadCount.org that needs web design help. I think it went pretty well, but I won’t find out until next weeeeeeeeeek. Yikes.

Los Age of Rockets had to cancel both Utah shows. I think that is okay because Utah is only good for its rock formations and they will save serious bank in gas. And see the Grand Canyon probably.

I guess what I’ve learned today is that Planet Earth has way too much cute animal killing, and I can totally handle that, but I am NOT down with lions killing an elephant. Keep your pride away from my favorite animal, desert cats!

A thousand miles from where it all began

Well, I had my hair pro-dyed. This is only to ignore everything else that is actually happening in my life.

They were once like me

To call the past few days “hellish”

(that is, hell·ish – adjective

1. of, like, or suitable to hell; infernal; vile; horrible
2. miserable; abominable; execrable
3. devilishly bad)

would be a monumental understatement. Aside from two insanely soul-crushing email battles with professors (example: “So, you see, there are some complex issues to work out still. I wish I could offer a simpler solution. Perhaps having a chat with Saul Spangenberg, the Assistant Dean of Music, would help.“) that almost one hundred percent solidify the fact that I will not graduate in May, I have also become a psychotic person somehow. I feel it would be best to describe things through images rather than any more text, because I can’t even bring myself to talk about shit let alone write about it to no one.

Halloween?

Okay, so it looks like H-ween is coming up in ten days. This year, instead of throwing together an almost-clever costume at the last minute and it being a complete waste of time, I caved and asked my skilled seamstress of an aunt to make me a costume. This is the pattern that we decided on:

Yes, I am going to be a giant rabbit. A brown one. It’ll be fine, ok? I can’t back out now. And I will absolutely not pose like that. Ever.

My friend and possible future wife Jenny is about to leave for a very long US and European tour, and if you live in either of those places, check out her website and see if you can make any of her shows. It’ll be good for you.

Jessica Sanchez is and forever will be my personal hero.
